P.F. Candle Co. is hiring a Seasonal Part-Time Retail Associate to join our team at our Williamsburg, Brooklyn location for the 2026 holiday season, with employment extending into February or early March 2027.

Retail Associates serve as the face and voice of P.F. Candle Co., creating a welcoming environment and delivering a thoughtful, personalized fragrance experience. They greet customers with warmth, build genuine connections, and help shoppers discover products that suit their needs and preferences.

Candle Co.’s products, history, and values, and bring that knowledge to life through engaging conversations and thoughtful product recommendations.

This position reports to the Shop Manager. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be comfortable adapting to changing scheduling needs based on business demands and team availability.

POSITION: Seasonal, Part-Time, Hourly

EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: November 2026 – February 2027, with the possibility of extending into early March 2027

START DATE: Late October 2026 / Early November 2026

END DATE: Late February 2027 / Early March 2027

SALARY: $25/HR

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service

• Greet customers with a warm, friendly demeanor and create a welcoming environment throughout the shopping experience
• Engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and offer product suggestions
• Provide expert knowledge and customer education on product information, development and production processes, and care/best use suggestions
• Gather customer feedback and share with larger team to identify successes and areas of improvement

Sales & Product Expertise

• Utilize strong sales techniques to upsell or cross-sell products, ensuring customers leave with the right items for their needs
• Ensure a seamless checkout process, including sales, returns, and exchanges, and answer any questions or concerns professionally
• Achieve and exceed sales goals through personalized recommendations and building lasting customer relationships
• Stay informed about all products and be able to communicate their unique selling points effectively

Store Presentation & Experience

• Maintain a clean and organized storefront at all times, ensuring that product displays are always well-stocked and aesthetically aligned with creative direction
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and product restocking
• Organize back stock and storage areas to ensure efficiency and easy access to merchandise

Administrative Support

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and balancing the register
• Contribute to marketing initiatives, such as in-store promotions or social media content
• Assist with in-store events and activations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles is preferred
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Weekend availability preferred
• Excellent communication skills founded on honesty and transparency
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing time efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Interest in learning about P.F. products and enthusiasm for brands with a similar mission is a plus
• Must take punctuality seriously!
